So, it’s back to reality now that we’re home from our vacation. Five days in Dallas and I was ready to get back home. Until I got home, of course. It was nice to get away from the same old routine and responsibilities, but it wasn’t as comfortable as my own space.
Now that I’m home, it’s back to work, back to school, and back to the normal household responsibilities. That includes cooking dinner (and the cleaning afterward that comes with it). Last night I made a healthy version of Pho (vietnamese noodle soup) and it was good, considering it only took and hour to cook and it’s actually good for you. Since I’ve turned 30, I’ve becoming more aware of the kind of food I eat and feed my family. I’m looking to cook healthier foods and make healthier snacks. I’m also giving up soft drinks, which means no more Diet Cokes 😦 All this new food is a major lifestyle change, but it’s necessary. With eating healthy, comes working out more. I’m doing yoga, pilates, cardio, and spinning classes at least four times a week. It’s a lot of work, with everything I have going on, but unfortunately I’m not getting any younger. That means I need to take better care of myself.
The next step is to dye the gray out of my hair!! I am seeing far too many of those pesky strands for my age and they have to go.
Time to go cook some dinner, do some laundry, and take care of some school stuff. Home sweet home. Vacation time is over.
