I started writing last night’s daily dose and ended up falling asleep with the laptop on my lap.
I’m so tired all the time. I can’t wait for school to be over so I can have my life back. Just a few more weeks and I’ll be done! However, in these last few weeks I have a ton of work to do.
School isn’t the only thing that keeps me busy. My personal life keeps me moving nonstop. Carter alone can keep me running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I recently went on a scavenger hunt for some books that he loves. His daycare has some Barney Little Golden Books. He’s been taking those books from daycare and flipping out if anyone dares to try to take it from him. You can’t tell Carter that he can’t take the books or that he can read the books tomorrow. The funny thing is that one of the books is called “Sharing is Caring” which of course Carter has no concept of. Luckily I found a couple of these golden books on amazon. They came in yesterday and when he opened them he was just staring at them like he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. One of the books is about Christmas, which the daycare didn’t have so he hadn’t seen it before. He just kept looking at it like he was so amazed with it. He was so happy, which was evident by the noises he was making and the crazy ways he moved his hands and fingers. That’s Carter for you. That’s how you know he’s excited. I didn’t need to hear him say “thank you”–his excited growls and hand movements told me he was thankful.
I thought I took a picture of him with his books, but I guess I didn’t. I’ll post one later today.
