My Daily Dose of Autism

Lately I’ve been debating on medicating Carter for his autism. Well, I haven’t actually been debating it, I’ve pretty much just kept a closed mind about it. I’m not really for it.

Q and I have been discussing some treatments to help Carter with his autism. He told me about a friend of his who medicated his child and even though he knew I wouldn’t be open to it, he suggested it to me anyway. And just as he suspected, I dismissed the idea. We are kind of stuck in limbo right now. We don’t really know what will work or how long to try certain things. he wants me to keep an open mind. I say I do, but not to that.

I suggested a gluten free diet to start and adding in some vitamins and nutrients for Carter. I know it’s a tough long road, but I want to try the most natural alternatives first.

I also did some research and found some other treatments for autism.  Check out the website below for more information.

Wish me luck in my quest to find the best treatments to help Carter!

  1. I did not want to put Sarah on medication either. It was not until she developed tourettes and other things that are now on the Autism Spectrum, that we had no choice to do so.
We put her on vitamins specifically designed for her by Dr. Rimland. She seemed to adapt to the vitamins really quickly. This was 20 years ago. I believe they have knew vitamins and natural things that will help your son. Your son is very fortunate to have a mother like you who will chose the natural way first.
Have you tried essential oils? Their are blends of oils that could help and they are natural.
Take courage, I have walked in your shoes and everything will be ok no matter what you decide to do concerning your son.

    1. That’s tough, I’m sorry to hear about your daughter and your tough decision. I’m trying to do the best I can. I have read about some of the essential oils. I’m in the research phase now. Gathering the information and products I need. I’m attempting all natural ways first. If these do not result in any improvements, I’ll move on to something else. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement 🙂
