“Jump, Jump, Jump!”

This is what I would say to Carter as he jumped excitedly on his swing set trampoline.  He would jump higher and higher, matching my enthusiasm and he would laugh and laugh and laugh.  He was so happy on that thing.   When we moved, we left Carter’s swing set at my mom’s house.  He only gets to play on it when we visit home.

Since we know how much he loves jumping, Q and I came up with a brilliant idea.  We found an indoor trampoline place close to us and decided to take Carter.  I was excited for Carter.  Of course I had a small touch of nervousness because with Carter you just never know.  I wasn’t sure if there would be a lot of people there or if it would be too loud for him.  Regardless, I was pretty optimistic.  I was happy to find a new place to take him other than the usual day at Barnes and Noble.  I couldn’t wait to blog about our day visiting this new place.

Well, here I am.  Blogging about it.  It won’t take long though.  I won’t have to go in to how excited he was or how he ran to jump on the trampolines before we even had a chance to pay.  I won’t blog about how tired we all were after such a great day jumping around and having fun.

We were in.  And we were out.  That pretty much sums it up.  As soon as we pulled up to the parking lot Carter was already uneasy.

We went inside anyway thinking that as soon as Carter spotted the trampolines, he would be ready to jump.  When we got inside, we were able to see the children’s area where people were jumping and having a good time with their kids.  It wasn’t loud at all.  But Carter, for some reason, was very tense.  He was not excited at all.  We thought about asking the employees if we could perhaps take Carter to the play area to let him kind of feel it out.  We didn’t want to pay to jump and not even make it to the trampolines.  After debating and considering the possible outcomes if we forced Carter to try it out, we just decided to leave.

Trying out something new: EPIC FAIL.

Solution:  Buy Carter his own trampoline and then maybe try the indoor trampoline park again some other time.
